Acclaimed Filmmaker Sachin Gupta Returns with Fourth Feature Film ‘Sundarnagar Ki Sundari’ Releasing in August 2025

Mumbai, July 2025 – Nationally acclaimed and Natya Bhushan Award-winning filmmaker Sachin Gupta is all set to release his highly anticipated fourth feature film, Sundarnagar Ki Sundari, in August 2025. Known for crafting cinema that is both socially relevant and emotionally impactful, Gupta’s latest venture promises to be a compelling blend of drama, realism, and contemporary storytelling.

The film features a fresh and talented ensemble cast including Himanshu Goel, Sanskriti Verma, Abhishek Chavan, and Sahas Purswani in pivotal roles. Produced under the banner of Chilsag Entertainment Network, the film explores themes rooted in modern Indian society, continuing Sachin Gupta’s legacy of meaningful and issue-driven cinema.

From Software Engineer to Visionary Storyteller

A former software engineer in the United States, Sachin Gupta left his tech career to follow his passion for theatre and filmmaking. His journey from Silicon Valley to the silver screen is as inspiring as his cinematic vision. Trained at prestigious institutions such as the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute (New York), Fanshawe College (Canada), Emerson College (Boston), and Harvard , Gupta brings global insight and creative precision to Indian cinema.

Gupta has written, directed, and produced five Bollywood feature films, with past works including:

• Paranthe Wali Gali – a heartwarming tale set in Delhi’s iconic streets.
• Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq – a quirky romantic comedy featuring Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal Yadav, and Hiten Tejwani.
• Pakhi – a hard-hitting drama on child trafficking, inspired by true events.

In addition to feature films, Gupta has directed over 15 short films, many of which have been streamed on digital platforms and featured celebrated actors like Dharmendra, Shweta Tiwari, and Seema Pahwa. He is also an accomplished playwright, having penned 18 original plays in Hindi and English, and directed three Off-Broadway productions in New York.
